😎 How about these warmer spring days?

Has Spring finally sprung? (I don't dare say it)

Good morning!

This is the third issue of the Fulton Flyer (go here to see previous emails) - if you have a few minutes, mind hitting reply and letting me know what you think? This will always be an evolving newsletter and I want to send you an email that you look forward to. Thank you! 🙏🙏

🍽️ If you’re looking for a place to go for dinner tonight, consider heading to Texas Roadhouse because they’re running a fundraiser for Girl Scout of Central Maryland Troop 309. Make sure you tell your server and they will donate 10% of your food or gift card purchase. You may need to show them this flyer.

🗑️ And, if you have Household Hazardous Waste you need to get rid of, you can’t take it to Alpha Ridge until April 5th when the “season” starts up again. There are special off-season collection days until then though, the next and final one being this Saturday, March 1st.

In this week’s Fulton Flyer:

  • Clarksville Commons has first farmers market preview

  • Beer and wine in grocery stores?

  • Mardi Gras comes to OEC

Here we go!

Could alcohol be coming to grocery stores? 🍺

Del. Marlon Amprey (D-Baltimore City) proposed an amendment to House Bill 1379 that would allow beer and wine sales at grocers and other retailers. I did not know Maryland is just one of four states that don’t allow such sales in grocery stores and hasn’t since 1978 (Boarman’s was grandfathered). This amendment has the support of Gov. Wes Moore so we’ll keep tracking it. More details here.

We often go down to Burtonsville (Cuba de Ayer is fantastic!) and it’s been amazing seeing Burtonsville Crossing come back to life. On March 1st, Playa Bowls will be opening a location there and Pho Wheels will be joining them in mid-March.
