Good morning!

OK sooooo I only thought about starting a local newsletter on Tuesday but I am so thrilled to see 150+ smiling faces sign up to get it. Thank you!

I was going to send the first issue out next Thursday, the 20th, but I was too excited to wait.

🟢 If you know of news, an event, or anything you think should be included in the newsletter, please reply and let me know. I’m always looking for more to add in - thank you!

In this week’s Fulton Flyer:

  • Howard County Council Hearing next Tuesday regarding Grace Plant

  • 10285 Lakefront Opens (where’s that???)

  • and more!

Here we go!

Did you know that you can get 3-months of SiriusXM for free? You just need your Radio ID or VIN. Best part? They don’t ask you for a credit card so they can’t charge you after the 3 months are over.

There is a County Council Hearing next Tuesday, February 18th, in which residents can (and should) testify in support of the Zoning Regulation Amendment (ZRA) that could put a stop to the W.R. Grace plan to build a chemical recycling and plastic burning facility in River Hill, just a few miles north of Fulton.

You can learn more about the efforts to stop this plant on this website as well as the Stop Grace Facebook group. I urge you to sign the petition and do what you can.

10285 Lakefront Opens

This is the big building that sits right next to Whole Foods on Lake Kittamaqundi - it’s a medical office building and it opened on February 5th.

As a frequent Whole Foods shopper, it’s been fun to see the building go up over time and now it’s fully open. It has a public terrace with two sculptures made by UMD professor and abstract artist Foon Sham.
