😍😍 If a friend sent this to you, please give them a big hug or high-five from me. Oh, and you can sign up for your own free copy here!
Good morning neighbor!
As we head into this Memorial Day weekend, please take a moment to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. If that includes taking in a parade, there are several in the region and the three closest are in Annapolis (Sunday), Bowie (Saturday), and Rockville (Sunday).
Hear that bzzzzz? That’s the start of Cicada Brood XIV (first seen in 1634!) as they will emerge this month. Based on the University of Connecticut maps, we aren’t the epicenter but it’ll still be loud!
Do you have a middle schooler interested in an engineering summer camp down at the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland? The WIE Empower summer program is June 23 - 27 from 9am to 3:30pm. It’s put on by the Women in Engineering Program but they welcome all rising 7th and 8th graders. Learn more here. (apply by May 31)
