No Main Street Music Fest This Year 🎶
The Ellicott City Partnership announced that there will be no Main Street Music Fest this year and that it will return in 2026. “After a lot of heart-to-heart talks, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Main Street Music Fest this year. It was not an easy decision, but we believe it’s the right one to ensure we return next September with the kind of unforgettable festival you all deserve.”
👻 Six Flags won’t be having Fright Fest either. They’re closing this year so that comes as no surprise. Kids Boo Fest is still on though.
800 lbs. of debris removed across EC watershed 🗑️
Want to hear something incredible? Howard EcoWorks and the Department of Public Works removed more than 800 lbs. of debris after the mid-July rains from 50 ares across the Ellicott City watershed. Wow.
Ocean City Short Term Rentals Still Allowed 🏘️
For those who travel to Ocean City or own short-term rentals there, Referendum Question A narrowly failed to pass. Question A would’ve increased the minimum stay to five nights (and then increased to 31-nights in 2027).

I love a great neighborhood spot and one that has a kids area? Yes.
It’s also near Marilyn J. Praisner Library (~3 min), Fairland Recreational Park (~7 min), Recess in Silver Spring (~13 min) so if you have young kids, head there and then Restaurant 198 afterwards for a bite.

MD RennFest Tickets on Sale 8/4 👑
Ticket sales this year will be completely online, none available at the gate. And individual ticket sales start August 4th at 10am - I tell you this because I had zero clue how popular multi-passes were because they were completely sold out in an instant. No idea how the individual tickets will be but here’s the link so you can be ready.
